The SMILE™ Provides a multi- sensory approach to academic, social, cognitive and motor learning. The SMILE™ program is a half day program designed to serve as a preparatory program to Pre Kindergarten and Kindergarten, serving children who would benefit from a movement based, dynamic, multi- sensory learning experience. The SMILE™ program curriculum areas includes gross motor, fine motor, Handwriting Without Tears®, Touch Math®, visual spatial skills, visual sequencing skills and motor planning skills.
The program is designed for children within the ages of 3-6 needing a structured learning environment who require small class sizes with trained Sensory and Motor therapists. Ideal for children who may exhibit sensory integration, motor planning, fine motor deficits, gross motor delays, attention deficit and low muscle tone who would benefit from our multi sensory approach to learning.
Our belief is that children ages 3-6 need to develop certain foundation level skills (insert picture of boy jumping attached in this email)in a smaller, movement based environment which will help them become more successful in larger , more traditional academic settings. Our program is specifically designed to help children with gaps in their learning to develop age appropriate skills at an accelerated rate. Mostprograms designed for young children have a set curriculum which is used for all children even if abilities differ. Our curriculum is specifically modified to allow each child to work and learn at his own pace.
The SMILE™program academic curriculum was designed to develop skills to prepare children for reading, writing, math and group socialization. Through the use of therapeutic resources, we have developed a multi dimensional unique curriculum specifically designed to enhance left and right brain networking.

Class Structure
The SMILE™ program is designed for 3 groups of children.
The Prep Level
This level is the first level of the program designed for children with intensive sensory motor , language, gross motor and regulation deficiencies. The Prep level is designed to help the child co regulate himself with a class environment in a movement rich daily schedule. Admission is open to 3 Prep level children per session. There are 2 therapists per 3 prep level children.
The Introductory Level
The Intro level is designed for children who are looking for a preschool experience and are able to function in a group of 3 children with one therapist. The children in this level are learning basic skills through the curriculum to enhance their movement repertoire and help inhibit primitive reflexes affecting cognitive and motor planning processes. Admission is open to 5 Intro level children per session.
The Kindergarten Prep level
The Kinder Prep Level is designed for children who are looking for a Pre K experience to serve as a primary source of Pre K or as a supplemental program to enhance motor and perceptual skills. Ideal for children with ADHD and non specific learning disorders looking to learn through non traditional methods and to develop confidence for future academic success. Children in this group will learn complex sensory and motor skills, Upper and lower case letters, Beginning Phonics ( Saxon, Barton) Touch Math skills, and abstract thinking skills critical for auditory memory and comprehension. Admission is open to 5 Kinder Prep level children per session.
