Future Stars

Future Stars is a National Program that focuses on the top tier of the 9-12 year old age group with technical compulsory routines on all 6 events plus trampoline, PB strength and flexibility.  The Future Stars program provides a solid foundation for the boys to progress to the elite level. The top 10, 11,  and 12 year olds that reach a qualifying score in the Future Stars Regional Championship, have the chance to compete in a very select and competitive Future Stars National Championship where the top 8 gymnasts of each age group are chosen as the Future Stars National Team. National Team members then have the opportunity to train at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs to practice with the Senior National Team.

The in the last 3 years, GMS boys have played a vital role in Region 7’s and Virginia’s success, having 8 out of 9 of the gymnasts in the State and 7 Future Star National Team members.

Junior Olympic and Junior Developmental

The GMS Junior Olympic Program is organized into ten different levels of training or competition. Each level has multiple age groups and opportunities for participation and competition. Competition is carried out at the local, state, regional and national levels through USA Gymnastics sanctioned invitational meets and championship level meets. The Men’s Junior Olympic National Championships are held in May of each year for eligible athletes in Levels 8, 9 and 10 who have qualified through their Regional Championships.
